For as long as time itself, human beings have looked up into the heavens and admired the clouds gently floating past.
It wasn't until the 1850s though, that Cloud Photography as a primary artistic subject first came to prominence when Gustave Le Gray captured famous seasides with detailed cloudscapes. Decades later in the 1920s, Alfred Stieglitz's body of work began to express pure emotion through clouds. Abstract shapes of his own inner feelings.
